I had a wonderful time in Istanbul last week. It was an incredible time to be there…the protests were going on all around us (the tear gas was only used in Taksim) and it was extraordinary to witness how the grass roots protests were growing. I was one of the judges of The Aydin Dogan International Cartoon Competition. Shown here are 4 of the 10 judges…me, The New Yorker Magazine cartoon editor Bob Mankoff, the great Ralph Steadman and Adolf Born, legendary Czech artist. It was my third time as a judge. Many thanks to the wonderful Candan Fetvaci CEO of the competition
